X-Men Origins: Wolverine

After a long wait we finally have it X-Men Origins Wolverine’s story, for the diehard fans this is one of the best keep secret until now and all are eagerly awaiting to discover every bit of wolverines story and past life. As it starts you will come to face with the young version of Logan when he was just a child around the 1800’s and even more shocking you discover that Victor Creed is in fact Logans brother. Hugh Jackman is obviously still in the role of the main character though for Victor we have Liev Schreiber who plays the part extraordinary good, being able to see that he put heart and effort into building his character to maturity and understanding his unyielding rage. The cast contains many more big names like Ryan Reynolds, Scott Adkins, Kevin Durand and Dominic Monaghan although they all play small parts in the movie it still contributes to the overall artistic look and feel of the picture.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

As the story gradually unwinds you will see both brothers fighting arm to arm along the time barrier in each war from the independence to WW-I- to WW-II- to Vietnam being killed dozens of times only to awake again while everyone else were dead until they get into trouble for disobeying orders and end up in a prison cell after being shot by the platoon, where we meet Danny Huston playing as William Stryker who proposes to them a unique deal to make a special unit with unique privileges to serve the country. The team was composed of several experts like Zero, expert sharpshooter and Wade, expert blade master and several others with special abilities. They go throw out several missions to find some mysterious meteorite fragments but at a certain point where Stryker orders the killing of innocents, Logan steps in and takes action preventing it but also leaving the ranks of the unit behind. After 7 years we get to see a changed Logan, settled in and having a beautiful girlfriend (Lynn Collins) named Kayla Silverfox and living a normal happy life. As you can guess all that would be about to change when Stryker comes again and pleads Logan to help him, invoking the fact that Victor was set on a vengeance crusade and was killing one by one the old team members; but Logan refuses and doesn’t want to be any part of it.

From this point on it’s an ongoing pain experience for Logan with the most incredible turn of events all witch lead him to become a fierce animal and also a weapon called Weapon X, with adamantium (a virtual indestructible metal) skeleton making him one of the deadliest weapons out there. All ok if you’re on his side, thing that didn’t prove so well on Stryker’s attempt to deceive him moment when all hell on earth broke loose and thus the fun began. The movie is exceptionally well made and stands out the most from all the X-Men series being, in my opinion, the best made until now, not only the special effects but also the story and they way it was told, making it very credible and teeing all the loose knots the former movies had about Logan’s life that were a mystery and always were under a sign of “What really happened there”

All in all the director Gavin Hood made a strong and entertaining movie that will undoubtedly be remembered as the best of the series and will only contribute more the increasing fan’s of the X-Men series being a “must have” collector’s item; and for the rest of us a good movie and one that will keep you firm in your seat for 2 hours.
