Killshot

Mickey Rourke stars in the drama thriller Killshot playing as Armand ‘The Blackbird’ Degas an Indian hit man with no remorse no second thoughts cold and calculated.

The movie starts with the depiction of a scene in a hospital where Armand and his 2 brothers go out to carry a execution killing every witness in cold blood , everything gong according to plan until a nurse comes along and Armands smaller brother hesitates to kill her. That’s when all hell breaks loose and the nurse gets to sound the alarm and in crossfire his smaller brother gets shot.

The story then later is told by Armand himself and you find out that his smaller brother was killed and the other one was caught and will stay in jail for the rest of his life. At this point the movie starts and you will get to know Armand personality, he is bitter and sorrow because he lost everything, but he still is carrying out the mafia’s hit orders and he wants to do a “last job”, big money easy pay. As you can imagine not everything goes according to plan and although he kills his target he also kills a by standard female that turn out to be the contractors loved companion, thus putting him into a tight spot , not getting payed and also being wanted by them now. About this time Richie Nix playing the role of a crazy maniac Joseph Gordon-Levitt enters the scene. The actor plays the ego maniac role perfect he is wild, uncontrollable, with a desire for blood and stupid also.

But despite all that when he meets Armand he awakens a resemblance as his smaller brother so he takes him in and trains him. The bond is weird and a bit uncomfortable but the actors play their rolls very good witch makes the atmosphere much tenser in more than 1 moment. What follows is a man hunt for 2 persons that saw Armands face and can incriminate him. The movie is very well made and I enjoyed it quite a lot but still there is that feeling in it that something is missing, it is like a very expensive tv episode that aired all episode at 1 time. Even so if you’re looking for a good movie and not a “Hollywood bunch” with well made lines and dialogs and also a good profiler, this is the movie for you. By all means watch it, you won’t regret it as it’s a well made movie indeed .
