Hellboy II: The Golden Army

If you liked the first movie you will LOVE this one. Hellboy 2: The Golden army brings forth a massive new world and a new approach in the storyline. You can see Guillermo del Toro influence here more than ever. If the first movie was ok, and audience barely knew about the Director, now after 4 years have passed and Toro made a name of himself and also brought forth a new way of seeing into the “fantasy” world, this sequel will immerse you yet again into a bizarre and wonderful world.

The movie is packed with a lot of action shots and scenes combined with humor, but it also contains subliminal messages like “Elemental -The last of his kind” which can be compared with our current state of polluting the environment and the crisis with loosing so many species due to over polluting and deforesting everything. You can easily pass those kinds of aspects since Hellboy 2 takes a more Humoristic side in which Abe Sapien (played by Doug Jones) discovers love for the first time, in which Hellboy is becoming a father 🙂  …

I can only be pleasant surprised to see that the people that designed the costumes for “Pan’s Labyrinth” worked here also into creating a bunch of new , exciting , odd , bizarre and even outstanding costumes that emerge you into the world of the “unseen”. The world the Director made here is magical , and furthermore appealing because it’s right under our noses just very well hidden from our fragile eyes with entrances placed under well known monuments from America.

I loved every second of this movie and I warmly recommend it to all, also it’s good to mention that the film ended 100% leaving room for a 3rd movie and me for one am awaiting its arrival very enthusiastic.
