Angels & Demons

Tom Hanks is back once again with the sequel entitled Angels and Demons, we all know the fiasco of the first film The Da Vinci Code and its public reply which was not the most welcoming one, if I remember good they didn’t even applause at the end when the premiere was screened.

Now after 3 years director Ron Howard tried to make a comeback and win the audience hearts with this movie. The movie follows the very secret brotherhood named The Illuminati, this time all the clues and action are 90% happening in the Vatican, the brotherhood leaving clues in the four altars of science : Earth , Fire , Water and Wind.

Each clue was crucial in discovering the next step so they could get close to a potential killer that threatened to kill the papal order;since the Pope died and the four preferitti were kidnapped (them being the people next in line with the most chances to be the next Pope) Robert Langdon had a very short time line to catch the killer from killing its next victim and saving the papal order as we know it. In a typical manner of the series, Robert Langdon discovers one after another the ancient secrets of the Illuminati one by one, by either disobeying orders or by destroying and compromising hundreds of years old manuscripts from the Vatican archives witch are one of the oldest and most priceless collections in the world.

Angels & Demons

I would say the director tried to make this movie more real so that audience would be more pleased with it and would get the feeling that a incident like this might happened and all in the movie was possible and every clue is not taken out of a SF movie. But yet again the audience didn’t respond so well and the movie although it was considered to be better the the first one didn’t manage to do so well at the budget part and people weren’t flocking in or fighting for the tickets to see it.

Angels and Demons was overall a good movie, especially if you a Tom Hanks fan, but yet again it failed to be more then a average and it didn’t rise above the movie released this year. Non the less I would recommend it to thrill seeking enthusiasm that are looking for a adventure in form of clues and riddles also to all theory seeking members that would love to spark up new conversations about the Illuminati and their secret brotherhood. A wish you all a nice viewing !
